Social Anxiety Under the Spotlight

Thankyou to the lovely Nick at The Social Phobic who has written me a guest post on Social Anxiety in a brilliant effort to make the misunderstood, understood.

A lot of people confuse social anxiety with shyness and while there are a lot of similarities, there are also several major differences between the two.

The Towel is Ready to be Thrown

In the past I’ve been quite happy to throw my hands up in the air, to admit defeat and then I’ve either taken one of two well trodden paths.

Eating in Australia

15th September
Well today is my day to myself. S and kids have gone to play group, my brother’s gone to the gym (with a disgusting looking protein drink) and I’ve been left to “study” and I did start with good intentions. I opened King Lear, flicked through, read a bit and wrote some notes but [...]

Where the “Magic” Happens…

Aiming for a post of light-hearted unthinking – though you are allowed to think about it, but it’s an optional thing today.

Baby Jay – 22/09/03

Today is my first nephew, Jay’s 5th anniversary. He would be 5years old today.

I Can Fly

Another installment to the “I’m in Australia” pot of posts and a slightly off topic point to make. “I can fly” reminds me of Peter Pan and the 2003 version was filmed in Australia. Small world. Mad world. I didn’t half love Jeremy Sumpter when it first came out. I went to the cinema 5 [...]

Leaving for Australian Adventures

The evening before the flying days commenced wasn’t as lovely and smooth as I’d thought. I can’t remember if I did or didn’t post about it, but long story short, the kid sister kicked off with my mum which resulted in much screaming, shouting, swearing and a generally bad feeling in the house. Things did [...]

The Relationships of the Manic Depressive

So here is the first guest post of Australian absence. At the moment all I can say is that the writer is a she. She writes her own blog. But for the reason that her mates might recognise themselves in her writing, she wanted to remain anonymous, just in case someone nosy tripped up on [...]
